Don't get stuck with is unless you think it is worth spending $7.99 a week ($32.00+/month) to learn to discern tones. It'd be best to discern how to keep your money.

    Awesome to practice hearing notes!
  • Not Good, Annoying Ads, Low Value

After switching from Android to iOS, I was looking for an app to help me practice solfege but this really only helps identify tones. This is something a website could provide (and several do!). Finally, after paying for the app I am inundated with ads to pay an outrageous subscription fee... I regret this purchase.
  • Subscription trap

$99 / year for a simple app? Don’t fall for it. This app exists to get you suckered in on an expensive annual plan. There are other similar apps that have no such plan requirements. Avoid!

Fun so far. I’m hoping it helps my ear training.
  • Please give option to get rid of “startup tone”

All in all, I was looking for the simplest app to test absolute pitch that I could find, so this app is mostly fine. The only gripe I have is that every time it starts, it plays a tone to “test the audio” which implicitly gives a reference pitch right out the gate. If we could disable this tone, the app would be perfect (no pun intended)

    I can’t stop playing
  • Flip the layout and it would be perfect

Fun and good practice. I find the layout of the notes a little confusing. Maybe changing the layout to this would be better: D F C E G That lays out the relationship between tonic triad and NCTs a little more clearly too. Otherwise, pitch relationships are obscured from the way that most people consider them. Also, ditch this silliness about $100/year. The subscription thing for a simple app is greedy and unnecessary.
