Truebill Budget & Bill Tracker App Reviews

  • One of the best out there.

This app is packed with features I didn’t expect to be there. It’s so easy to use and there is a ton of information about your accounts. I almost never log into my actual bank account now because using Truebill is just so much better. Having all my credit card balances and bank accounts in one place is a dream. A widget that always shows what bills would be coming up would definitely make this app 5/5.
  • Worse decision!!!

This app is not worth getting, help or any assistance take hrs upon hrs! I logged out, logged back in and lost everything!! Now, have to figure how I’m going to cancel the subscription with them.
  • Love it, but could love it more

I’ve been using TrueBill for a few months and let me tell you, it has changed my financial life. Just knowing when what bills I have coming up and when helps me formulate my budget for the month. The new Reports tab on the Spending tool is just amazing. Couldn’t be happier with it. It flows nicely, easy to change a transaction type across the board, and gives great insight into your trouble areas. I do have some suggestions and things I’d like to see in the future. 1. Paydays shown on Recurring Tab. This seems pretty basic to me. Having the recurring paydays shown on the Recurring Tab would make it so much easier to eyeball my plan for the week or month. I think this would be super helpful for people who live paycheck to paycheck. Might not work well for those who freelance, unless it would learn your pay schedule over time and adapt. 2. Baseline Budget tool based on Reports. Basically what I’d like to see is this: the option to set a flexible, baseline budget for each category that’s seen in the Reports Tab. Then, have a report that says “Looks like you’re $25 over your $100 budget for Auto.” Doesn’t have to be too specific. The whole reason I use TrueBill is for its simplicity. If I wanted a super robust budget, I’d use Mint. 3. Referral links & rewards for referring friends successful. Like I said earlier, I use TrueBill pretty actively. I’d like to ability to refer a friend using a link or social media. It would also be nice to have rewards of some sort for those who successfully onboard 3 or more people. Maybe if we invite three friends, we all get a discount on Premium...? Or maybe you decide to strengthen your partnership with Acorns and invest a certain amount of money in those who invite 4 or more people. So many possibilities. Regardless of the rewards, I want the ability to share this app with my fiends after I tell them about it. I have a few other minor suggestions that I can’t think of right now, but those are my big three!

All I want to do is cancel my Abcmouse subscription. Abcmouse forces you to use this website to cancel your subscription, then when you get there and enter all your info it charges you $9 to cancel your subscription unless you download the Trubill app. So now I’m downloading an app that I will never need or use again.
  • Better than Mint and Clarity

    By JaimeSmedes
I love this app! I’ve used mint and clarity for some time before finding this app. Sorry I’ve wasted my time with those others. Truebill places all the important information front and center. Intuitive and informative!

Very intuitive and easy to use. I immediately found savings tied to automatic charges on my credit card that I had forgotten or did not even know about.
  • Waste

Took my money without updating me with how they saved me money.
  • Not worth the hassle

I downloaded this app this morning and had it all of 30 minutes before I deleted it. First of all you have to link your bank (okay no biggie lots of apps do this) but my bank isn’t even on there. So I proceeded to link my bills individually. I got my Charter bill linked and a thing popped up saying “hey we are gonna place a $20 hold on your card for allowing us to see if we can lower your bill. If we lower your bill we will take a % out of your account of what we saved you for a year.” Sooo what’s the point of having the app to lower my bills if the savings are not going to stay in my account? Lies all lies. And then I went to link my Verizon account to see if it was just with Charter and it had to send a code to link my account. I entered that code a dozen times and the app acted like I never entered anything. It’s garbage, full of lies, and not worth the hassle of all that if the extra you are saving is being paid right back out again. Don’t do it. Just don’t waste your time.
  • I can’t connect my account

    By chantelle A
I can’t connect my account because everything else was right the bank and my password and my phone number BUUUUT it doesn’t send me security code text it does this also when I’m using the bank app on the same exact phone the account is connected to ! There’s no other option to verify ?
  • Charged me more than the savings

They charged me $16 to save me $15. Once I contacted them about it they stopped emailing me. Terrible customer service.
