I’m a semi-pro looking for a mobile way to produce lead sheets and horn charts. Paid the $10 to unlock features and have been working with the app extensively for 2 weeks. While this an intuitive app with a great interface that covers the basics, there are lots of omissions and problems: 1. No way to quickly transpose or switch octaves. No way to select multiple notes and move them around. You have to edit every note individually: a total drag 2. Slurs get lost when notes are moved 3. Cannot add chords or lyrics to empty bars: I need these for reference, even when the horns have nothing to play! 4. Chords & lyrics font is too small to read during performance and cannot be changed 5. Chords and lyrics cannot be moved up or down relative to staff - which results in conflicts with other symbols & text on top of the chords (Segno, da capo, tuplets...) 6. Multimeasure rests that show the number of measures above the staff (a standard in horn charts) are not supported: if horns are silent for 20 measures, all 20m must be written out, or 10m using traditional repeat signs. A major inconvenience when the chart needs to be as short as possible to fit on 1 page! 7. Measure numbers cannot be disabled. 8. Double bar lines not supported. 9. Copy function is very limited: In a multi#staff score, it is impossible to copy from one staff to another. You can only copy all staves together. 10. Similarly when using two Voices, you cannot copy from one voice to the other. 11. When changing key signature, the notes do not automatically transpose to the new key. 12. Option to hear each note while entering or moving notes is missing. 13. Serious lack of documentation, and app descriptions are not precise enough. As in: what is the difference between a Notation Pad and Notation Pad Pro? Does Pro contain address any of the above problems? If anyone has a solution, or if I’m doing something wrong I’d love to know about it. I have emailed the developer (you can only find the email in the legal agreement, nowhere else!), as well as reported some of these bugs from within the app. No reply so far.
