Gboard App Description

Gboard is a new keyboard from Google for your iPhone. It has all the things you would expect from a great keyboard — GIFs, emojis, and Glide Typing — plus Google Search built in. No more app switching; just search and send, right from your keyboard. Search and send anything from Google: • Nearby stores and restaurants • Videos and images • Weather forecasts • News and articles • Sports scores • And anything else you’d search on Google GIFs — Search GIFs for the best reaction Emoji Search — Find the perfect emoji, faster Glide Typing — Type faster by sliding your finger from letter to letter Privacy We know the things you type on your phone are personal, so we’ve designed Gboard to keep your private information private. What Gboard sends to Google: • Gboard sends your searches to Google’s web servers to give you search results. • Gboard also sends usage statistics to Google to let us know which features are used most often and to help us understand problems if the app crashes. • If you use Gboard’s microphone, voice input will be sent to Google for transcription. What Gboard doesn’t send to Google: • Other than your searches and voice inputs, Gboard doesn't send anything you type to Google, whether it’s a password or chat with a friend. • To help you with spelling and to predict searches you might be interested in, Gboard will store the words you type on your device. This data is not accessible by Google or by any apps, and can be cleared at any time. • If you’ve turned on contacts search in Gboard search settings, this allows Gboard to search the contacts on your device so you can easily share. None of these queries are sent to Google.

  • Horrible touch recognition

    By XxSpectralDarknessxX
Ever since updating to the update it hasn't recognized where I type unless I press multiple times on that spot and sometimes it still doesn't recognize it.. I went back to swiftkey EDIT: There is another update out after I posted this so I will let you know how it is after updating.

  • Solid - Not anymore!

Giving an updated review I've been using Gboard for a few months now and my overall experience has been well. But, now the keyboard is becoming EXTREMELY laggy as well as the standard apple keyboard too. I enjoy using this app and really don't want to substitute it for another but. These updates aren't doing anything! Please take into consideration your daily users issues.

  • No iPhone X support

    By AnonymousReviewer123
Google seems to be taking their own sweet time to release iPhone X updates to their apps. Gboard is almost unusable on this new phone
  • Great keyboard

    By MaorS
This is probably the best useful keyboard for iOS. Cons: - The emojis have not been updated. - Tap to speak not build inside the keyboard (many because of iOS limitations) - Please add Google translate into the keyboard.
  • Slow and laggy

    By Fios1715
I thought it was iOS being slow with this party keyboards or my older iPhone. This keyboard was slow to load and laggy - probably from features bloat. What made it worse is iOS constantly switching back to stock keyboard which caused reloading slowness. I Tried Swiftkey on a whim and all those issues are gone. This is a slow buggy keyboard. Skip it and get swift key or some other one.
  • Steadily getting worse...

    By Still Can't Use Gboard!!!!
Glitchy performance, doesn't work in the YouTube comment section (doesn't Google own YouTube???), auto-capitalizes in weird places, retains words so that when you're erasing long sentences it amalgamates words into gibberish, won't let you drop the cursor where you want to... If Apple ever adopts swipe/glide input, I'll never use Gboard again. Be warned...
  • Every update

    By Omnipotent0
It has to relearn all the profanity and intentional word misspellings with every update and it is incredibly annoying. Now it doesn't work on YouTube.
  • Persian Language Unusable!

    By Ata jabbarzadeh
Everything else fine, unless you change to persian language, there's a bad lag at every character tap, which renders Gboard totally Unusable
