  • unfortunate lack of practicality

i'm not paying you for more save slots, guys. they only give you three slots to save your animations, which isn't all that bad... until you see that the premium version is a subscription, not just a single payment, and it's 25$ a year, or 3$ a month... listen, for that amount, you really could just charge me 15$ and be done, and you'd ACTUALLY have my money in your pockets. it's sad how transparent this is. i would be 100% willing to give you my money for a one-time payment, ok? but do you really have to do this subscription thing for an app that's barely practical? okay, functionally, this is exactly what i expected, if not even better. it's a tweening app, and it lets you tween-hooray! every time you press undo, though, if you have it paused, everything starts moving again... which can be really frustrating in an art app where you'll probably be mashing the undo button the entire time. the tool selection is sad... at first i wasnt all that unimpressed, i mean, the app is free. but as soon as i tried to color something, i realized just how LIMITED your options are and how much of a pain in the tuckus it is to color things. you have very limited sizes for the pen tool (the only tool with a hard edge that would be practical to color with), and the brush that lets you make it the biggest (the brush tool) is super blurry at the edges, so you have to erase at the edge if you want to make a sharp line. not efficient. another thing - there's no select tool! you can't copypaste certain sections onto different layers to animate small pieces you've already drawn. there's no option. so you have to draw each individual bit you want animated on an individual layer, which, when it comes to hair, is VERY tedious and just not worth the effort. the above issue also means importing images is basically useless. i can't select PARTS to tween, or make seperate, or make different movements, because the program doesn't give me the option. HOWEVER, despite all of this, i do think that it does its job in terms of animation. i love how easy it is to make pieces move, and there's a lot of different ways to tweak movement and to generally make things easier for you. for instance, there's a particle tool for things like rain. awesome! so, the animation part is easy to use and incredibly convenient when compared to other art programs... but this app ultimately fails at doing its job as an ART program. it's a pain in the tuckus to draw with, with extremely low quality tools and a LIMITED COLOR SELECTION instead of just letting you pick your own colors...which really shouldn't be the case with something that asks you for your money. will probably use this casually, but until there's some serious changes, i'm going to stick with flipaclip.
  • It had so much potential...

I thought this was going to be a cool app where you could draw and animate. But instead, you have to place sketches inside and you can only animate one or two parts. You can’t do proper moving people. Not what I expected at all, the art tools are very small in variety, and this was disappointing bc I loved Sketchbook Autodesk... they could have done so much more with this... ):
  • It needs to have the same features as sketchbook

It doesn't have predictive line and a lack of brushes and colors
  • Sorry!

Sorry but it is way to hard to do and when you do a animation thing you can not undo it and you have to make a whole new one! And there are not many tools like if you had to do some touch ups to finish your drawing!
  • Definitely not what you think!!!

I downloaded this app because I wanted a good animation app that I didn’t have to pay for. I also knew that this company was good (I have sketchbook and absolutely love the program! And it was free). However, saying that this app was very disappointing would be an extreme understatement. This app has only three types of animations. And you can only animate one part. For example, if you want to animate a stick figure that’s picking up a flower, instead of being able to animate just the arm or the head, it animated the whole thing. If you animate the arm to pivot up, the whole stick figure body shifts up. Annoying right? The tool selection is mediocre, only being a pencil, paintbrush, air brush, pen and two erasers. Also the color range is minimal but sufficient. Would have been usable if the app served its purpose. For the extremely simple animation, you could make do, but for me, just a recreational artist, this app does nothing for me. Very disappointing because I know this is a good company.

I was hoping it would have some of the tools in autodesk sketchbook because I wanted to bring of the drawing I did there and bring them to life. Some of the tools like merging the layers and a color wheel.
