What Dog A Microsoft Garage Project App Description

What Dog (A Microsoft Garage Project) By Microsoft Corporation Description What Dog, recognizes dogs and classifies them by their breed. As with any AI technology powered experiences, What Dog is able to learn and get better over time. While What Dog has knowledge of over a 100 popular pure breeds, it is still learning to recognize mixed breeds, so if we don't get it right, send us feedback from within the app, and then try again in the future! What Dog Fun: Just for fun we include a fun mode that lets you find out what dog breeds you and your friends are. Do some research: There's also an extensive collection of breeds that contains information such as disposition, size, coat and what types of families are best suited for each. This is the kind of app you're going to take out when you're with your friends. You'll make fun of each other, comparing which breeds you look like, and posting the tagged photos. We hope you enjoy it and the what-dog.net website as much as we enjoyed building them! The Microsoft Garage is an outlet for experimental projects for you to try. • Accurate

    By CaliforniaChris707
I have used this frequently since I adopted a rescue that was believed to be around 2 months old. The app has been consistent enough that I decided not to get a DNA test. The “not a dog” response happens occasionally, but errors are to be expected with new technology.
  • Inaccurate

This app doesn’t work, if I could put 0 stars I would. It said that my rat terrier mix was a full bred chihuahua and my blue healer mix as a full bred Labrador. SMH.
  • Two dogs 🐩🐕?

By Sophia and her dog Julie
I wanted to know if you knew what breed my little darling princess was. P.S.I already knew. At first you got it right and told me she was 80% Maltese. She is a maltipoo, and like you said she did look like her father. But when I tested the same diva dog you gave me a different breed !It was not a poodle 🐩 like her mommy, but it was a breed I had never heard of .It didn’t even look like her! I will probably delete this app. Also I tested myself. It gave me two breeds for the same thing again!I know more about dogs then you and I’m nine!DO NOT DOWNLOAD!WRONG BREED!
  • Eh, it’s ok.

This is probably just randomized, as you can use it with peoples faces as well. To test if it worked, I looked up purebreds of different breeds, and the app said it was something WAY off. Don’t believe this app.
  • Pit bull

They first said they didn’t know what it was, then they said Italian greyhound, then they said English spaniel! Sorry, also I am a dog walker and they only got 2 out of 6 right
  • Remove from App Store

    By Broken, Broken App
I found this app while searching for a way to identify a stray that showed up at my house. This app needs to be removed from the App Store. It hasn’t been updated in 2 years. The app won’t even load.
  • 🐕 Lol it's great 🐩

You can't seriously think an app will guess your who-knows-what mutt accurately?? Did you expect some Houdini-magic?? And also; Of course this app won't have every dog breed on the planet. It also depends on the lighting and the angle you take your photo. Look, honestly, this is very good for an app that just analyzes your dog's photo and matches it with bing images. I have 2 Siberian Huskys and I did my white puppy who was looking out the window. Know what she got? Dogo Argentino and Eskimo Dog. That's pretty good. And I love how it gives you facts about different dog breeds! Great source of quick-information! I rated it 4 stars because my dog had a fairly thinner face than a Dogo Argentino and she had a visibly curlier tail and pointy ears. Still, Dogo Argentino and Eskimo Dog were very good and close guesses. It recognizes color more imo, to stop the 2.4 stars it could recognize bodily structure and different poses of it, too.
  • Fun but ridiculous

    By Roni377
I put numerous pictures of one of my dogs 16 lbs 2 yr 3 months jack Russell terrier mix and it doesn’t even have jack Russell terrier listed. It said once he was a golden retriever and once an Italian greyhound. Meanwhile I put in a pict of my other dog that is a fat short hair chihuahua mix but obviously chihuahua and it said fox dog. I wish it had any validity. I’ll be deleting it.
  • Disappointing

    By JNasserCG
Tried this app on six different dogs. Does a reasonable job on the popular pure breeds, and a terrible job on mixed breed dogs. a disappointment. Sorry
  • Wow, Didn’t expect that tbh.

I think that this app is mostly accurate. It took a while for it to get my dogs breed, but that’s because the photos had to be 100% clear. If they are a mixed breed then they are pretty hard to discover, I tried it with a few photos that weren’t actually dogs and it still gave me some results and sometimes it didn’t. I think it’s cool that this app just scans over a picture and notices features that belong to your dog, it also tells the history of your dog but some of the info is wrong. Like the height of some dogs are usually taller or smaller than the average number. it also had some glitching in the start that prevented me From choosing a photo. I recommend taking more than one image of your dog and I think it’ll be accurate. Overall, it’s good and pretty accurate. Thank you and Bye!
