Blaze: Dinosaur Rescue HD App Description

Get ready to rescue baby dinosaurs with Blaze and AJ in Blaze’s Dinosaur Egg Rescue Game for iPad! This iPad app exposes preschoolers to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) concepts as they travel through Dino Valley with Blaze and AJ to find lost dinosaur eggs. Throughout the adventure, children are encouraged to develop problem-solving strategies and complete physics-based puzzles using water, bouncy balls and lasers to rescue dinosaur eggs from dangerous situations. Each location contains between one to three eggs, along with a hidden prehistoric gem! TOOLS: To rescue the dinosaur eggs, children are encouraged to manipulate the following tools and simple machines: - Wheels - Pulleys - Cranks - Levers - Mirrors - Solar panels - Pendulums CONCEPTS: In addition to experimenting with different tools, children are exposed to the following STEM concepts: - Height (e.g. moving Blaze up or down to reach certain locations) - Weight (e.g. adding objects to a bucket connected to a pulley) - Trajectory (e.g. manipulating the path of water, bouncy balls or a laser) - Adhesion (e.g. using a “sticky patch” to trap items and construct a path to complete the puzzle) HANDS-ON APPROACH TO LEARNING This educational iPad game for kids fosters a hands-on, experiential approach to STEM learning through critical-thinking challenges that enhance children’s understanding of how things work. Kids learn with the help of their best friend Blaze - the coolest truck from the popular Nick Jr TV show! ADDITIONAL GAME FEATURES - 3 Blaze transformations – Blaze can shoot water, bouncy balls, or laser beams! - Explore three locations in Dino Valley and navigate different types of terrain – the jungle, rocky plateaus and a volcano! - 45 levels – Solve forty-five physics puzzles to locate over 80 dinosaur eggs and a prehistoric gem on every level! • Money back

    By Mick4581
Is it possible to get my money back? The game won’t let us in.
  • Not enough content for price

    By Night3079
My 3 year old was able to finish this like nothing and he still plays it. I just thought for the price there would be a lot more levels that what there were.
  • My 3 YO loves it

    By Kristel R.
It's true that there should be more variety in the levels. That said, my 3 year old is delighted with the game, and that's why I bought it.
  • Too easy and limited

    By C1212
My 3 yo son finished all 45 levels in under an hour. It does have some nice cause/effect relationships and basic physics concepts, but it is not a challenge to its audience. The levels also do not get much harder as you go through the the game, which is why it's so easy to beat it. They need to add more levels soon, and they'd better not charge for them because we've already sunk $7 into this game!
  • Don't buy this!

    By Pshhh love it!
Don't waste your money on this game. My 4 year old loved it but literally beat it within an hour and it cost me $7! Also a little confused as to why it's $6.99 on our iPad but when I looked at it on my phone to write the review it was only $3.99? Extremely frustrating.
  • Waste of money!!! Less than an hour of content!!!

I plan to ask for a refund. This game is a ripoff. My son got excited because it was "Blaze". The content is extremely limited. Apple should remove this from the store.
  • Not worth money

    By Patchedcat
Blaze tells the kids exactly what to do, they do not have to think for themselves to figure out the problem. This may be ok for kids 3 and under, any older and this game is boring. My grandson completed all 47 levels in under an hour, and got more enjoyment speed around the track once all levels were unlocked. Do not waste money if looking for a challenge for your child.
  • Completed in 45 minutes!

    By ebar822
$7 for an app my 4 year old was able to complete in 45 minutes? Where is the challenge? I am all for STEM education and the concept behind this is great; however, if you're going to charge premium prices you should have enough content to warrant the cost. I am hoping to see more levels added in the future.
  • Not enough content

    By Ughh not worth it
This app lies on the higher end of the price range for most popular children's apps. A price I am happy to pay if it is worth the investment especially for math and science based problem solving activities. That being said my 5 year old son played every level in this game in less than an hour!!! Then he got bored and moved on to another game not so easy to complete. Though my child is brilliant and I would like to believe that's why he was able to complete such tasks in so little time however I do not believe that to be the only case. The content is sparse. There just aren't enough levels to justify why the makers feel entitled to charging this price. The makers of this game should have a little more integrity and provide the amount of content to reflect the value of this game. The trademark Nickelodeon just isn't enough to justify the over priced nature of this application.
