Fitbod Weight Lifting Tracker App Reviews

  • I love this app!!

    By OneTwoBake
Hey FitBod, You guys have no idea how much this app has helped me reach my fitness goals. I love it and will continue to use it for a long time. I love how it’s integrated with my watch it makes working out faster and easier for me. But just one huge issue.... The app is slow and buggy as f***!!!!!!! Every single time I open the app it takes a whole lifetime just for me to press one freaking button. All I want to do is see the workout and make sure I’m getting my form correct. The watch app works amazingly but the phone app is freaking slow as hell!!! It’s honestly very irritating and makes me want to drop you guys!!! Please fix this issue and please get back to me. I have an iPhone XS Max and this freaking app is the biggest freaking headache. Never seen so many bugs in one app before. I can’t even click on a button and when I finish a workout sometimes it takes 10 min to save it. Freaking ridiculous. Thank You
  • Love this app!

Exactly what I have been searching for for a long time! Now that I don’t have to pay I love it even more because I previously deleted it due to not wanting to pay. I love that it gives me a good workout plan where I can customize my workouts to what fits my schedule and my atmosphere. I love that I can replace specific workouts, and I look forward to seeing my weight loss results from using this app. Would highly recommend to anyone!
  • Phenomenal.

Great fitness app. Love how it creates routines for you based on available equipment and past workouts. Wish there was Siri shortcuts which is the only thing I prefer on Strong the previous app I used. Just amazing.
  • Game changer!

  • Love/hate relationship with this app

I have been using this app for over a year. When it works, it is tops. However, it is the buggiest app I have ever used. It tends to get better over time with updates, but then it will take a huge setback, usually when there is an iOS update. The last two weeks have been hell. It freezes up my phone and sometimes, after working out for an hour, it say it has only been 25 minutes. The big issues seem to be the watch syncing with the phone. When it is not working I spend 10 minutes or so closing the app and reopening it. I can usually get it to work after a while, but it is frustrating when you are trying to workout. Please fix this. Again, when it works, it is great.
  • Low success rate with Apple Watch

I subscribed to this because of the Apple Watch integration, but it’s rarely working last few months. Does not synch, keep hitting refresh and nothing. Have uninstalled, reinstalled, updated, rebooted, and still not synchronized. Will not renew subscription, looking at other Apps.
  • Used to be Awesome!

I’ve been using Fitbod almost every day for about a year. Unfortunately, most recently it has become very unstable. Each day it locks up several times when I try to plan my workout, crashing repeatedly. It takes about 5-10 tries to plan a workout... sometimes I just give up. Unfortunately it’s almost unusable as is. I hope a fix comes soon but I’m already looking for alternatives. Original review below (from last year): I love it. I use fitbod every day (literally) to plan, track, and record my exercise. Since using the app I've become much more consistent and noticed significant improvement in my weight and cardio limits. The app is excellent. I love the planning options and how it integrates with Apple health. The elite subscription is well with the cost, it's almost a personal trainer in your pocket!
  • Buggy and poor customer service

    By Partly Cloudy 74
I used this for 14 months, but it has gone way downhill. Lots of bugs when trying to view exercise/weight progress, and the developers recently switched to different servers, causing me and many other customers to lose significant amount of data altogether. Customer service was unhelpful and rude.
  • Pretty good. Keeps me honest in my work outs.

The only con is the way that the app does super sets. Sometimes it will give you the same exercise as a super set. Like barbell squats and dumbbell squats back to back. And then two types of curls back to back. I feel like it would work better to go back in forth between muscle groups. Also it’s a pain to make a super set and a pain to edit one. Other wise it’s a great way to keep you on the path and a great way to keep track of what you did.
  • App freezes when trying to start a workout

iPhone XS.. please fix. Also make accessory muscles an option to show up for regular workouts and not have to include manually
