Sonobit - Remote for Sonos App Description

”... a must for virtually every owner of a Sonos audio system” (iTopnews) Sonobit is the most feature-packed remote widget for Sonos on the market. Sonobit has been rewritten to take full advantage of the latest features in iOS 11 and watchOS 4. You don’t even have to unlock your iPhone/iPad to access advanced features like group control and ”Pause All”. Just swipe to the right on the Home screen or the Lock screen of your iPhone/iPad to access the widget. Sonobit also runs on your Apple Watch! It gives you the full set of media buttons and shows the currently playing song and album art. List of features: - Either run Sonobit as a collapsed, minimalistic widget or an expanded, full-featured widget - Control groups of speakers - Pause all your Sonos speakers with just one tap - Toggle repeat and shuffle - Play/pause, skip tracks, adjust volume and mute - View the currently playing song and album art - Hold your finger on volume down to mute and on volume up to unmute in collapsed state - Launch the official Sonos app by tapping the album art - VoiceOver - Available in English, German and Swedish No setup is required! Sonobit automatically detects all your Sonos devices instantly. That also means that if you’re on a friend’s Wi-Fi, Sonobit will automatically reconfigure itself and connect to your friend’s Sonos system! Don’t know how to add a widget like Sonobit? - It’s a piece of cake: 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and then right. 2. Scroll down and tap Edit. 3. Tap the plus sign next to the Sonobit widget. 4. Pull it to the top of the list for easy access. ========= REVIEWS ========= Caschys Blog: 5 STARS (http://stadt-bremerhaven.de/sonobit-sonos-per-widget-unter-ios-steuern/) iTopnews: 8.3/10 - ”… a must for virtually every owner of a Sonos audio system” (http://www.itopnews.de/2016/01/sonobit-remote-app-fuer-sonos-mit-grossem-update/) Multiroomlautsprecher.de: "... sie ist jeden Cent wert [it's worth every penny]!" This may be because UPnP is not enabled on your router. If Sonobit says "No Sonos system available", you can manually add your Sonos devices. Start the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad and tap Sonobit. Follow the instructions there for adding your devices and finish by launching the Sonobit iPhone/iPad app once for the settings to take effect. • Sticks on ‘connecting’

Most of the time the iwatch app is stuck on ‘connecting’ and the iPhone version is working. Watch is connected by Bluetooth to watch. When it works it works but I’ve deleted and reloaded at least 5-6 times.
  • Excellent App!

I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks now with my Apple Watch 3 and no complaints. It covers all the critical functionality I need, including grouping zones which is key for me. It works reliably if Sonos is already turned on, however, I cannot turn on or “play” Sonos from “off” with my watch. It is shocking Sonos has not created their own watch app, this is a great app!
  • Doesn’t Work That Great

I don’t normally do reviews but thought I should as I’m currently disappointed that I had to pay for this. I bought this for basic control of my Sonos in my gym from my watch. One room, 4 speakers. The app kind of works, but there’s a lengthy delay. All I want is to be able to turn music down quick so I can talk to my class and then crank it back up. So unless I’m doing something wrong or missing something, I’d love a refund.
  • DOES NOT WORK WITH WATCH

    Does not work with watch!
  • Useful for Watch

Provides basic controls for Watch os5. It easily found all my Sonos units and allows room switching, but only after learning that a Force Touch (holding down your finger on main screen) switches to a two button menu with “Groups” & “Mute” controls. “Groups” control allows you to switch rooms. All I wanted was mute and volume controls from Watch while system is already on and this app provides that.
  • Almost Perfect

Nice app. Bought primarily for Apple Watch support, which is my backup when phone is not near. Two items would make perfect. One is instant volume control using the crown to support the frequent use case when you cannot move your attention to the screen. (Think kids:) Second would be adding a small complication that would allow faster launching of the app when you do have access to the watch face. Is either in your future?
  • Getting better as I use it

Widget works fine on iPhone but not as well on Apple Watch. Have to reinstall anytime I control something else from watch and try to go back. No updates in a year? Possibly could be why it doesn’t work properly.
  • Waste of time, money and potential to wreck your settings

I thought what a great idea! I have Sonos speakers in three rooms and a Sub so switching between them from my Apple Watch—great! But while I could get it added to the widgets on my iPhone XS, I couldn’t get it to show on my Apple Watch Series 4. I restarted my phone, my watch, no joy. What it seemingly DID DO was suddenly eliminate my ability to control even my iPhone music from my watch. I had to reset both AGAIN to get that functionality back. Don’t waste your time and money!!

I am a Sonos lover and have been highly disappointed that Sonos did not offer Apple Watch support. This app does EXACTLY what it says it does. Quick download. Automatically connected to my Sonos. I can control the music and different groups on my Apple Watch. Thank you. Crown dial control of volume would be nice but still a great app for anyone with Sonos and an Apple Watch!!!!
  • When it works, pretty good but...

Like this app and use it quite a bit although it's quite limited in what it can do. When it works, however, it's a true convenience to have on the watch - very handy. My biggest gripe is that too often it stops working and the only fix I've found is to delete it entirely and then re-install it. Also, I see there's been no update for a year?? Question for developer: Why no update in so long and are you going to be upgrading the app soon w/more features or are you about to do away with it altogether - hence why no updates? Thanks and again, folks on the fence about this app, it's very worth having for the times it works for you in spite of it only offering the most basic of Sonos features. Hope the answer to my developer's question above is that the app will be upgraded soon and that it has a long life ahead! :-))
