Sonobit - Remote for Sonos App Description

”... a must for virtually every owner of a Sonos audio system” (iTopnews) Sonobit is the most feature-packed remote widget for Sonos on the market. Sonobit has been rewritten to take full advantage of the latest features in iOS 11 and watchOS 4. You don’t even have to unlock your iPhone/iPad to access advanced features like group control and ”Pause All”. Just swipe to the right on the Home screen or the Lock screen of your iPhone/iPad to access the widget. Sonobit also runs on your Apple Watch! It gives you the full set of media buttons and shows the currently playing song and album art. List of features: - Either run Sonobit as a collapsed, minimalistic widget or an expanded, full-featured widget - Control groups of speakers - Pause all your Sonos speakers with just one tap - Toggle repeat and shuffle - Play/pause, skip tracks, adjust volume and mute - View the currently playing song and album art - Hold your finger on volume down to mute and on volume up to unmute in collapsed state - Launch the official Sonos app by tapping the album art - VoiceOver - Available in English, German and Swedish No setup is required! Sonobit automatically detects all your Sonos devices instantly. That also means that if you’re on a friend’s Wi-Fi, Sonobit will automatically reconfigure itself and connect to your friend’s Sonos system! Don’t know how to add a widget like Sonobit? - It’s a piece of cake: 1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and then right. 2. Scroll down and tap Edit. 3. Tap the plus sign next to the Sonobit widget. 4. Pull it to the top of the list for easy access. ========= REVIEWS ========= Caschys Blog: 5 STARS ( iTopnews: 8.3/10 - ”… a must for virtually every owner of a Sonos audio system” ( "... sie ist jeden Cent wert [it's worth every penny]!" ( "Wer ein Sonos-Lautsprecher-System sein Eigen nennt, sollte sich diese praktische Möglichkeit, die Musik zu steuern, durchaus einmal genauer ansehen." ( ========= SUPPORT ========= In rare cases, Sonobit is unable to automatically discover Sonos devices. This may be because UPnP is not enabled on your router. If Sonobit says "No Sonos system available", you can manually add your Sonos devices. Start the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad and tap Sonobit. Follow the instructions there for adding your devices and finish by launching the Sonobit iPhone/iPad app once for the settings to take effect. • Not good

    By rebareba13
No instructions, sure there is something on my Apple Watch but I can’t even change rooms or music playing, this is a waste of $, and if I CAN change these things, HOW, the “app” piece on my phone just shows how to add it to my main screen. Don’t buy this!
  • No Apple Watch app

    By 69bob6969
Installed as widgets on iPhone and iPad but it does not appear on Apple Watch or in the watch app.
  • Works for Apple Watch!

    By Ionicuser
This does work for Apple Watch. Trick is you need to hard press to open rooms/group. Then it works great! It’s like a remote. You still need to pick songs in your phone but can control volume, track etc from watch. Quite cool.
  • It doesn’t work.

I bought this app under the watch store application. It doesn’t have an application for the watch!
  • Great App - just a few recommended tweaks

Extremely easy set up. Was impressed that it was not necessary to provide Sonos login credentials. Just install the app, add the widget, and your are done. The app provides very basic controls (pause, play, previous track, next track). You can also switch between speakers including speaker groups. The watch app also works well with the same functionality. To make this a 5 star app I would really like to see volume controlled by the watch crown, a watch complication that would quickly take you to the Apple Watch app, and the ability to initiate and/or switch Sonos favorites (playlists, stations, etc.). It appears the only way to change what is playing is to open the native Sonos app.
  • Changing rooms on Apple Watch

    By Flkgcgkgix
There is no clear way to change between rooms when using this app on an Apple Watch. What am I missing?
  • Doesn't work

    By Swolvert
It worked one time! Now it doesn't even connect at all. I have tried it many times. The app simply doesn't work!
  • No substitute for watch app

    By solestus
If you are looking for something to replace the lock screen functionality that briefly existed on the watch before sonos added airplay, this is not it.
  • Working but needs slight updates

    By EL416
Working great but feedback, cover art and status need updates for the watch. Would be nice if we could also see the volume and have access to eq. Again I do high end home automation with Sonos in every job. If this can be perfected I can put the word out. Thanks keep up the great work!
  • Apple watch app doesn't work at all

    By Jeffdoubleyou
The watch app doesn't work. The buttons don't do anything in the app to be able to control anything. It's simply broken.
