Insecurity - Phone Security App Description

According to a new survey, 1-out-of-3 people admit to secretly going through other people's phones – scrolling through text messages, photos, and emails. Insecurity puts a stop to this by taking a picture of the snooper the instant they unlock your phone! Here's how it works: 1) Click the "Set Trap" button 2) Lock your phone (works with and without passcode). 3) The next person to unlock your phone will have a picture taken of them by the front camera. And an alarm will sound if your volume is turned up! This photo is only saved to your Insecurity account and therefore, the snooper can't delete it from your camera roll. When you log in to your free Insecurity account, you can view a gallery of all the wonderful mug shots. Enjoy! PLEASE NOTE: If you're phone has a passcode and the user enters the incorrect code, then the app will not take a photo. For security reasons, iPhone apps cannot take photos if the phone is locked. There is no way for Insecurity to work around this so please be aware of this limitation before downloading. This app is not intended to keep your phone or it's content safe. It is meant to deter your friends, family, and girlfriends or boyfriends from going through your phone by taking an unexpected (and usually unflattering) photo of them - catching them red handed in the act of snooping! The resulting photos are hilarious.

Insecurity - Phone Security App Reviews

  • Picture to dark

The reviews are correct. Picture is so dark you would have to be in direct sunlight to see who it is. A time & date stamp would be nice at least. But its not there either. Also it shows the snooper the app! Omg

This app only works if someone tries to open this specific app. It doesn't lock the phone or assist in locking the phone in any way. Total waste of an app and $1.99. No thief is going to try opening apps on an unlocked phone. ZERO STARS
  • False description

    By Erikindy9
Ok, the description of this app is false. It does not take a picture when the phone is opened, only when the app itself is opened. (If the developer disagrees, they are welcome to show me how to make it work upon opening the phone, but I’m 99.99% certain I’m right.) That said, I’m still gonna try it. I have every expectation that my wife won’t be able to resist the little app with the heart on it. Lol. It’ll work once, but the product is not as advertised.

I paid $1.99 out of my birthday money cause I thought it would be kinda neat seeing who would try to get into my phone. Well, the phone needs to be unlocked for it to work, the noise never works and I just wasted 1.99 that I could’ve bought a bag of Doritos with!!!!!! Nobody bye this app. I would’ve been happier burning 1.99 than buying this trashy app. Explain in the description that the phone needs to be UNLOCKED for this ‘security app’ to work!!! If there was a Nobel Prize for dumbest, worst, stupidest app, this would win, no question.
  • I must have missed something

So i downloaded this app and decided to try it out myself and it only sounds the alarm AFTER input in the correct passcode and IF I click on this specific app....and it needs to be reset every time i use it......either I missed something or this defeats the purpose. So after 24 hours I’m deleting it

I feel like all recent reviews are fake. App does not work however. Picture turns up black so you can’t see who it is.
  • Needs work...

It would be great if it worked when any of the buttons were pressed. A person pressing the home button can easily see who called or texted. The app shouldn’t only work if the person knows the passcode to access the phone.
  • This app is a fraud.

I just paid $1.99 for a app that absolutely does nothing . I hope this app is taken down by App Store to avoid stealing from others.

Should've read the reviews first. Was looking for an app that would snap a photo when Someone uses wrong code
