  • Poor Privacy Policy

    By J L K Moore
This app’s privacy policy includes the statement, “We may share a common account identifier (such as an email address or user ID) or hashed data with our third party advertising partners to help identify you across devices.” I am very disappointed that iRobot is sharing information to enable the tracking of their customers across the internet. There is no information on how to opt out of this sharing. If I could, I would not give iRobot permission to give out my email indiscriminately. I believe this goes far beyond what is reasonable for iRobot’s business purposes.
  • The only thing lacking is Siri support

    By RoombaLover
When Siri can turn control Daisy, my robot roomba named after a maid in downton abbey, she will be the perfect cleaner. How about it?
  • Don’t install new update

    By rhurf
New update broke the ability for my roomba to see my WiFi - went through all steps of redoing it and still won’t work anymore
  • Very unimpressed

Okay. So I got a new roomba 800 yesterday because I’m lazy and I hate vacuuming. And the box said that it could connect to an app on WiFi? So I’m like “yes. The epitome of laziness. I don’t have to bend down to press the clean button. I just have to click a button on my phone” so I downloaded the app. And started it up. It’s like “okay. Find a place for roomba with a strong WiFi connection and a clean area” so I did just that. Then it asked me to name my roomba. I named it stabby. And then it asked me to press the home and the button with a plus sign with a circle on it at the same time for two seconds and I’ll hear a noise. I pressed the buttons. No noise but it did turn on so I continued forward. It told me to look for a roomba/iRobot thing in the WiFi settings on my phone. So I did. But nothing showed up. So I tried pressing the buttons again for two seconds. Nothing. I tried for ten minutes. Still nothing. I moved right next to the router. And tried for another 20. Nothing. So I said “you know what. It’s midnight. I’m tired. Let’s do this in the morning.” So I did. When I pulled up the app, it told me that the app was down and to try again later. I did. And I didn’t get any farther than I did yesterday. So I put my roomba on a test run. Lil stabby works like a charm. This app is a dud. Save yourself a few wasted hours and don’t download it.

  • Works fine for 690, but needs improvement

    By Richie510
Supporting google and Alexa is great, but why not Siri? Opening the app and telling it to start is cumbersome. For now I use ifttt and extend it out to a button on the ifttt widget.
  • Reporting glitch

Using this with an e6. When I select Reduced Power Standby Mode in the app, the page is blank. Please fix so I can activate reduced power mode via the app.
  • Needs to improve

When the app is first opened, there’s only one big button: Clean. While that is a clean page, you will now have to hunt around to find the options and other controls. I have no idea why this first page doesn’t at least mimic the controls which are on top of the Roomba, especially the “Home” button. Yes, the top of the Roomba itself is a lot more informative than the app, and that’s a shame. I have no idea why programmers shy away from putting more info and functionality on the main page, they are just way too concerned to make the main page look un-cluttered. Instead of looking around on one page to find what I want, now I have to navigate through several pages and look around to find what I want. Not good.
  • Will not connect

    By Gsanbrook
I’ve tried everything to get our new Roomba 960 connected to WiFi. I get through all steps in the setup but in the end it says “Roomba cannot connect...”. Tech support at iRobot says we have to have our internet service provide open a “port”. ISP wants 17$ a month for a port. Junk
